Yesterday, I had a chance to watch the movie, 'Life is Beautiful' at my friend's place. It was only two weeks back, I watched an unfinished documentary recovered from the Imperial War Museam about concentration camps in Public Broadcasting Service (www.pbs.org). The doucmentary showed in detail the situation at the camps as the American and British soldiers entered. So, when I watched this movie I was able to relate to the situation in graphic details in my mind although the movie skillfully avoided. After watching the movie, I realised how brutal humans were to deploy modern technology (train networks, gas chambers) at that time to terminate scores of normal people. Is the modern technology helping us to re-inforce sterotyping of people/ races/ religion or is it helping to reduce pigeonholing?
